If you are a resident of DeKalb County aged 60+ and meet the eligibility requirements for East Central DeKalb Community & Senior Center, you will have opportunity for membership which includes full access to programs and services daily, weekly, and special events . Membership Intake is every Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm.
A. Click the button below to download the Medical Clearance Form. The form must be completed by your physician and returned to the center in order to proceed to the next steps of the membership process. This form may also be picked up at the center.
Process for all new Members:
- Complete the Medical Release Form. (The form can be picked up from the center or downloaded from the website)
- Complete the Membership Packet. (Once medical release form is completed and returned, Membership packet will be completed at the Center in person) Membership Intake is every Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm
- Once all the paperwork is completed, the payment of $125 is required.
- The new member will have his/her picture taken and assigned a membership card.
- Congratulations! You are now a member.

Q: I wasn’t selected in the lottery, am I able to become a member?
A: Yes! We now have open membership for all. All the membership Eligibility requirements must be met.
Q: What are the benefits of Senior Center Membership?
A: Membership offers a wide range of benefits, including pool access, programs, classes, and amenities. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other seniors, enjoy social activities, and access valuable resources.
Q: What are the eligibility requirements?
A: -You must be 60 years or older
-You must be active, independent and have the ability for self-care.
-You must be a resident of Dekalb County
-You must be cognitive without any form of dementia
Q: What is the membership Process? How do I apply?
A: To apply, you must download the medical release form at www.eastcentraldekalb.com or visit the center to receive the medical release form, once the form is completed by a medical provider, you must return it back to the center and complete the Membership Packet. Once the Membership Packet is complete, you pay the membership fee of $125.
Q: How much is the membership? Can I use Silver Sneakers?
A: The annual membership Fee is $125.We do not accept Silver Sneakers at this time. Forms of Payment are Credit/Debit Cards, Check, or Money Order payable to Dekalb County.
Q: What types of Activities and Programs are available for members?
A: Our center offers a diverse range of activities, including exercises classes, Water Aerobics, arts and crafts, educational workshops, health and wellness programs, social engagement and much more.
Q: Can non-members participate in center activities and events?
A: You must be a member to participate in Senior Programming and Events.
Q: Will I be able to have lunch at the Center?
A: In order to receive a lunch meal, you must qualify for the meal program. Income limits and capacity apply.
Q: Will I have access on weekends?
A: Our Senior Center Hours are Monday -Friday 8:30am-5pm.
